conservative blogging
Google has now turned to censorship against conservative blogs and websites. Have they lost credibilty w/ you?

Here’s a link to a story from World Net Daily. Ms. Gellar is widely respected as a leader in responsible, well thought out conservative internet news and blogging. My question is, does censorship cause Google to lose credibility in YOUR eyes, no matter whether you’re left or right in your views.

http://www.worldnetdaily.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&pageId=82113

Wooglet, her website came up as ‘Forbidden’ to a potential customer. If the yellow pages listed your business as forbidden and refusedd to publish your listing, what would you say? It’s the same thing, Google has planted itself as a way to look for information, and it is censoring that information with a clear political bias. MSNBC now has a new motto, “Experience the Power of Change”. Is that not biased either?

Anytime anyone puts censorship on a person’s political views, I think it’s wrong. I think when we discuss our opinions of the country, America needs to hear everyone to truly blend into the melting pot we are supposed to be.

What is all this about Republicans/conservatives hating everyone? I don’t hate anyone. Just because we don’t agree with the “if it feels good, do it” attitude, doesn’t mean we hate people.

Republicans censoring people for not agreeing with Bush? If that were true, MSNBC and CNN would have been off the air long ago. Yet they have been allowed to say every vial nasty lie about Bush they can tell. For 6 years they have told you that Bush started a war in Iraq. You might want to look at the facts and see we never left that area after Operation Desert Storm. Your hero Bill Clinton blew up something in Iraq or something somewhere on the our planet every single day he was in office. Check your facts. How much of that did you see on CNN?

The Love Blogging…

My name is Kate Loving Shenk and I am a Blog-a-holic.

Blog-a-holism can be defined as when you have 4 or more blogs you religiously add content to.

I presently have 11 blogs. I think I need to stop here and now.

Unlike Alcoholism or other kinds of drug addiction, I am strengthening my brain nerves and muscles and those tiny tendrils that send messages down my spine and to all parts of my body.

I now feel constantly tingly all over!

While my friends sit with puzzle books in the attempt to prevent Alzheimer’s, I just write my blogs with the intention of enjoying my new found prolific writing habit.

And yes, my brain loves it. My heart loves it, too.

My health is vibrant, alive and happy.

Writing blogs and dancing are beautiful companion activities.

One hastens circulation, the other increases inspiration.

Doing one leads to the other.

In fact, writing blogs is my dance partner, my love, the way I measure my steps, moves and grace in this world.

Writing prolifically isn’t the discipline I feared it would be. In fact, it is the opposite. Discipline implies some sort of concerted effort, one that is performed with a sense of duty, grim, grit and humorless determination.

Blog-a-holism goes hand and hand with reading 3-5 books at one time. Thankfully on the Dogs And Dolphins Ning, Ildiko Minko has created a book discussion forum so the book-a-holics in the group can write about sudden flashes of idea-spiration and write about these as the spirit so moves.

Blogs, books and pen-a-holism is the holy trinity of the Internet thinking world.

Nurses used to be able to get pens galore from pharmaceutical drug representatives, but our hospital passed a “no solicitation policy.” These pens and gadgets are a thing of the past. We get pens with hospital logo printed on them. I do have a collection of those.

But these days, I buy my pens at super markets and office supply stores and have collected quite the stash, befitting a-holic status!

Fountain pens leak ink at inopportune times. Yet, i love the idea of a fountain pen that writes well and smoothly.

The cheap Sheaffer fountain pens that Natalie Goldberg recommended in her early writing books were fun, but aren’t on the market anymore.

Did 9/11 take those beauties away along with free speech, the Geneva Convention and Freedom of the Press?

Blogging is the greatest guarantee that I can say whatever I want to say, and others may either read or not read.

What a beautiful medium.

Blogging is done for a variety of reasons: for business, promotion of products or of oneself, or as a diary, and in the process people meet and get to know you.

They bond with you and want to read what you have to say.

At first, I wrote on my blogs, seemingly all alone, perhaps with angelic protection, with 2 dogs lying at my feet, or barking to play ball, but mainly my blogs, my dogs, my computer and the thousands of thoughts vieing for headline attention.

Submitting posts is an act of letting go.

By releasing the words into cyberspace, I am letting go of control. I visualize happy people receiving my words, gaining awareness and enlightenment from them.

Political blogs inform political discourse in America today. The real truth is suppressed by the American mainstream media. While young men and women are killed in Iraq and elsewhere, for instance, the main focus of the nightly news is the latest escapades of Brittany Spears, Paris Hilton or any one else who serves the purpose of diverting the mind from substance thus feeding the public with mind numbing, mindless “interest stories.”

The Political Blogosphere has given us a place to go for uncensored news.

The political Blogosphere is the last bastion of a true democracy where free speech is revered and upheld as sacred.

Examples of political blogs are The Huffington Post, Booman Tribune, Daily Kos and many more.

Two of the eleven blogs I contribute to weekly are political in nature.

No one censures my words, except myself.

And in the end, the beauty of blogging is the fact that I can say whatever I want to say, and choose my words wisely and consciously.

Meanwhile, every week I add blog posts to at least 7 of my eleven blogs.

I listen to inward flashes of impressions and thought fragments, feelings, memories and then these coalesce into ideas that form into articles, blog pieces and eventually e-books.

This is the greatest immune enhancer on the planet today!

Blog-a-holism: the mother of all other addictions, replacing those former habits that destroy mind, body and spirit.

I am a Blog-a-holic, and am happy to take this secret out of the closet forever.

Lollapalooza 2009, Media Leaders Meeting, GCDC Europe, bitfilm09: Hackin’ Hollywood, London International Animation Festival

From You To You Tube: A Filmmaking Summer Camp For Young Adults, is a workshop in New York running till August 14, with another session closely following, from August 17-28, teaches concepts of story and structure, how to use a camera for your own shoot, the basics of film editing theory and technique, and how to compress your final product down to a size to share on the web. Chicago’s annual Lollapalooza 2009 music festival gets going again this year, August 7-9, and as part of Citi’s sponsorship of emerging artists at this year’s festival you’re invited to take part in a grassroots music-meets-art installation that allows you and your friends to take away a prized photographic memento of your time at Lollapalooza. Also, there will be chances to win VIP passes, stage passes to the PlayStation® Stage and even chances to win PS3®/PSP® system prize packs. The Florida Writers Association partners with UNF to start a three-day conference from August 7-9 in Jacksonville, with a full day of writing workshops for each day. Sunday afternoon’s schedule includes a marketing panel and a workshop featuring the UNF Writers Conference Book & Film Deal Connection, an opportunity for attendees to submit their work to agents, book editors and film producers after the conference closes. The Black Harvest International Festival of Film and Video is Chicago’s annual showcase for films that tell stories, raise questions, or touch on issues that relate to the black African, African American, and African diasporic experience, and it will be hosted this year in Chicago, August 7 through September 3.

A Media Leaders Meeting in Austin, a monthly “experiential mixing event” on August 11, brings together leaders in media, marketing, advertising and entertainment to discuss current events and new ideas. The LatinVision Hispanic Business Networking Event, an exclusive gathering of U.S. Hispanic and Latin American professionals, entrepreneurs and business owners in a relaxed atmosphere that facilitates networking, holds this month’s New York meeting on August 13, with an exclusive VIP after party to follow in the far west Chelsea district. A San Jose workshop for YouTubers who already shoot their own videos and post their content online takes place August 14, focusing on how can implement a successful video marketing strategy in this relatively new and rapidly changing field. The International Odense Film Festival is a short and documentary film festival that takes place every year in August, screening international short fiction and short documentaries as well as Danish short fiction and Danish short and feature length documentaries. Games Convention Developers Conference (GCDC), GDC Europe, hosted this year in Cologne, August 17-19, encompasses learning, networking, and inspiration via the GDC’s conference content quality and access to the industry leaders driving innovation in games across the globe. GDC Europe focuses on Business, Game Design, Production, and Programming for games. In addition, this three day conference will emphasize timely content and topics in Serious Games and Mobile Games in Europe and worldwide today.

bitfilm09: Hackin’ Hollywood begins with a three day event of indoor and outdoor screenings, a workshop for the creative industry, an opening reception, and a public open air screening in a park in the centre of Hamburg. National Alliance for Media Art & Culture Conference 2009 is for media and visual arts leaders, practitioners, researchers, technologists, advocates, scholars, students, funders, and policymakers to share experiences and pool  knowledge among attending conference members, and across networks within the arts, media and culture fields, at sessions running August 28-29 in Boston. MediaGuardian Edinburgh International Television Festival, August 26-30 in Edinburgh, celebrates success in the TV industry and is committed to the development of new talent. The Festival carries over 60 individual sessions covering the most important issues facing the industry, from policy to programme making, alongside plenty of fun sessions as well. Each year London International Animation Festival 2009 focuses on a specific animation technique. So in 2009 they take a close up look at sand animation. This involves an animator placing and moving coloured sand, salt and other powders on a light box and using hand brushes, air brushes and an array of other tools to create thousands of textured pictures that make up the finished film. To showcase this technique, they put together a programme, running August 28 through September 6, which mixes recently released sand animations carefully blended with a collection of classics from the last 25 years.

Who can tell me what are popular radio channels & blogs which have numerous audience in the U.S.?

I am an international student studying in the U.S. Now I am working on my campaign that I have to determine through what channels I deliver my key messages to my target audience. I have to be very specific to point out the name of the media used. For example, TV- CNN,ABC, CBS, etc. However, I am not familiar with radio and blogs in the United States, I only know some nationwide radio like NPR or VOA, but I need much more. So, I really need your help to think of as many media channels (radio, blogs either local or nationwide) as possible to continue my project. Thank you so much!!

Among the top local radio stations with a talk format.

WABC AM 770 in New York
WBBM AM 780 in Chicago
KABC AM 790 in Los Angeles
KGO AM 810 in San Francisco

A few of the top Internet blog sites include:
The Huffington Post
Tech Crunch
Boing Boing

Hope this is of assistance.

H=W? More of the same and more politics of fear?

We see the perpetuation of the politics of fear-mongering in Hillary’s 3.a.m. phone call ad. Isn’t this more of the same sort of politics of fear that bush has been using?

Today I saw an oval-shaped sticker on a vehicle with a large ‘H’ and a small flag-like logo, and it very much reminded me of the ‘W’ ones that most people who sported them have long ago removed from their vehicles!

Here’s some more letters: WWBS? Who would Bill support? In this 2004 speech, it would seem that he ought to be supporting Obama today! (See link, below.)

http://www.politico.com/blogs/bensmith/0208/Clintons_laws.html

“Now one of Clinton’s laws of politics is this: If one candidate’s trying to scare you and the other one’s trying to get you to think, if one candidate’s appealing to your fears and the other one’s appealing to your hopes, you better vote for the person who wants you to think and hope. That’s the best.”

The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, all of them imaginary.
Henry Louis Mencken (1880- 1956 )

Will Bank of America steal my money again if I use my $ while in “pending”?

I am using Bank of America online and transferring funds between accounts. Having paid literally thousands of dollars to their sneaky little date rearrangement scams, I am really weary to use the funds while they show up as “pending” in the account.

I am just transferring $ from one account to another, both my accounts, so an electronic transaction should post immediately, right? Usually the answer is WRONG, Bank of America rearranges the dates and tells you you borrowed $ from them and slams you with 5 or 6 $35 fees.

So anyone knows? And by the way, if you Bank of America bloggers are answering this saying how dumb I am with your motherly advice of how to balance my checkbook – burn in hell. And anyone else curious about this: google “bank of america overdraft scam”, you’ll see thousands of reviews.

IF BofA is as bad as you claim, why are you still banking there?

2. Another great method that I have found that gets spiders quickly come to my new blog is to create 5 posts and pre-date them for the period of 1 month going back.

Let me show you how easy this is.

If you have a new blog you can predate your posts.

To predate your posts remove all pinging services located in the ‘options’ writing category in your WordPress admin area.

In each post use your blog’s main keyword in the title and the body of the post. Also add the main keyword separately on the line on the bottom of each post.

If your blog is new write first post and edit the timestamp back but not longer than one month. If your blog is on the domain that you have had for awhile you can predate posts for longer than a month.

The last post you make have it dated for today and before you make a post put all the pinging services to be contacted. Then publish your new post.

That’s all it is to it. This method allows you to notify pinging services that your blog has been updated and already has content created on it.
